The new HYDRO-X Extreme Extraction System from Bolden's Manufacturing is helping to redefine industry standards for drying carpet, pad, and structure.

Previous tools used to extract water from carpet and pad performed so poorly that huge amounts of water were left behind for air movers and dehumidifiers to deal with.

1. Is the HYDRO-X hard to push?You never have to push or pull the HYDRO-X machine. HYDRO-X is completely self-propelled with forward, reverse and a total variable speed range. All you do is set the speed and guide it!
2. How heavy is it?HYDRO-X weighs about 180 pounds, but due to it's unique take-down design, you'll never have to lift anything close to that amount. The base unit (without weights) weighs only 60 pounds.
3. Do you need a truck mount to use the HYDRO-X ?You'll get the best possible results with a truck mount, but by actual test comparison, we've found that HYDRO-X with a portable will easily outperform every other extraction tool available today.
4. How fast does it go?We've found that running the machine slower while making fewer passes over the carpet gets the job done the fastest! In fact, HYDRO-X still easily outperforms every other tool in the industry when operated in this manner. (See test results on HYDRO-X ads and flyers)
5. How do you know how fast to go?The HYDRO-X speed control tells you to go slowest for berber and fastest for cut pile carpet. Start slow, in a corner, and make two passes. Then simply pull up the corner and look at the results. Go faster if you can and slower if you need to.
6. Will it go close to the wall?Yes, HYDRO-X will go as close as ½" from the wall, which is as close as you need to go because of the tack strip.
7. How do you maintain it?The HYDRO-X is constructed of aircraft grade stainless steel wherever possible. Even the positive chain drive is stainless steel! Drive roller bearings are also stainless and require no lubrication. The HYDRO-X is incredibly rust and corrosion resistant, so it all adds up to a virtually maintenance free machine.
8. Is there a warranty?Yes. One full year; material and workmanship.
9. If the 110 volt power is out at the jobsite, can you still use the HYDRO-X?Yes! HYDRO X is driven by a low voltage DC gear motor at the power head. This is an obvious safety feature (only a 5 amp fuse required). It also allows the use of battery power as an alternative power source. A simple, inexpensive inverter that you can plug into an auto cigarette lighter makes the hook-up easy.
10. If HYDRO-X helps me to dry in 3 days, how is that to my advantage? Wouldn't I make more money if I took longer?Insurance companies are beginning to demand 3-day drying. This makes it much more convenient for the homeowner, and the cost savings is very significant. Besides, the more quickly you get your equipment back, the more quickly you can move on to the next job. This makes you more available to your market and is especially important during a storm surge.
